Faith Lessons -Video Series
Teachers: Rob Shaubach and Paul Burns
This class will meet in
the library
and is a video series. Filmed on location,
Faith Lessons
is an in-depth tour of the buried, distant or otherwise forgotten places
where the stories of the Bible actually happened. From this cultural
perspective, teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan challenges long-held
Western assumptions about eve the most well-known Scripture passages. Well
done as both entertainment and as a Bible study. The two videos in the
series we will be looking at are titled:
On the Life and Ministry of the Messiah
and
On the Death and Resurrection of the Messiah.
The Persecuted Church
Elise Roelands will be putting together her own curriculum for this class. The youth have been exposed to this topic and now it is time for us adults to look at it...
Most people think persecution was an experience only the very earliest church had to suffer, but sadly even today much of Christ’s Church is affected by persecution. The persecutions of today come from many different hands and appear in many different forms. Join us to consider your brothers and sisters all over the world. Learn from their conditions and experiences and grow in your own faith as we delve into the scripture to get a godly perspective on suffering. There will be audio and video class components as well as a hands on service project and many opportunities for prayer.
Growing Older and Wiser
Phil Castor and Ann Hagen will be using an Intervarsity Press Study Guide to inspire us all to continue to use our God given gifts to give God the glory and to build up the Church. This class is not only for those who consider themselves “Older”. This class is for anyone who is done with High School and not in the Church Triumphant.
